Klampfisk
Christine Saam alias Stina Maria and Rolf Kuder alias Pit Paulson founded the band "Klampfisk" in 2008. As the smallest big band in the world, they travel the musical universe with two guitars, voices and bluesharps. In close cooperation they write songs in English and German. The focus of Stina Maria lies in writing lyrics while Pit is the main composer and arranger. On occasion, the areas of responsibility are swapped, because flexibility is the hallmark of this powerful duo.
While performing live, the two of them also draw on a rich repertoire of third-party compositions in case the situation requires it.
The band’s name “Klampfisk” was created during a vacation. In the sea aquarium of Skagen (Denmark) they saw a sunfish which is called “Klumpfisk” in Danish. The guitar is often called “Klampfe” in colloquially German and this is how the neologism “Klampfisk” was created, which gives the band its name and from which the hand-painted, unique logo is derived.
„Klampfisk“ can also look back on a successful career as a live band (References)
In 2019 they moved from Würzburg (Bavaria) to the baltic sea. Here they are now gaining a foothold as musicians, still a bit slowed down by the Corona pandemic.
